New Heights Home Bible Study
Small groups (also known as "cell groups" and "home fellowship groups") are growing in popularity in Christian churches and homes throughout the world as a way for us to make the connections we need with fellow believers. Small group fellowships —whether focused on Bible studies or on a wide variety of activities —have a tremendous impact on those who participate.
People often think there is something uniquely wrong with them. When they hear that others have similar struggles, they feel relieved and encouraged.
Changing is hard. There is nothing like a word of encouragement when someone feels hopeless or discouraged. Group members support one another, both during meetings and outside them.
We can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God (2 Corinthians 1:4).
God honors and answers prayer. When people become connected emotionally, they are more open to praying for one another. Often, group members exchange prayer requests or become prayer partners.
For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them (Matthew 18:20).
Governing Values and Principles:
* We value personal devotions, fasting, and prayer.
* We believe in the new birth-taught by Jesus and the
beginning of a productive Christian life (Acts 2:38,
John 3:3-5)
* We value holiness, righteousness, and godliness as
the believer's way of life.
* We believe in continually teaching and studying God's
Word to communicate and discover His purpose.
* We value a culture of Praise & Worship as a vital door
into the Lord's presence.
* We believe in personally participating in the Great
Commission (taking His message to others).
* We value an atmosphere of grace and mercy by
loving others as ourselves.
* We believe Spiritual Gifts-based Ministry helps equip
and engage believers into harvest.
* We believe in serving the needy, fatherless, widows,
and strangers.
* We believe that strong families are vital to the last day
harvest.
* We value stewardship and Holy Spirit leading in all
areas of life and ministry.
The overall purpose and governing values shape an inspiring vision of ACWC's future and role in the work of the Lord. We are striving to achieve this compelling vision by focusing the individual believer in a coordinated effort with the rest of the Body of Christ.
How Altitude Community Worship Center and its members are achieving the Vision

evangelizing our city, our nation, and our world
through corporate worship (Sundays), evangelistic
cells (Life Groups), community service, support for
our local and foreign missions, and personal (one on

* Ministries: Believers as MINISTERS reaching out to
people through the development of their gifts and
callings by finding their place in a ministry structure
that enables continual personal and organizational
growth.
* Relationships: Believers as HUSBANDMEN (care
takers of Heavenly things) cultivating a maturing
relationship with the Lord.

If reaching out to the lost is God's heart and mission, should it not be our's as well?
There are a variety of approaches that can be used in sharing Christ with others. The best approach is the one that meets the individual where he/she is. This is part of what the Apostle Paul meant when he said, "I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some" (1 Cor. 9:19-23).
We should not get so hung up on a set method that we lose sight of the fact that "the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power" (1 Cor. 4:20) --God's power. If someone gets saved, it is not because of us but because of God. He may use what we do but ultimately He does the work.
Possibly more important than the actual method we use is the way we use it. We must exercise gentleness and respect even when opposed, without quarreling (2 Tim. 2:14, 23-26; 1 Pet. 3:1-2, 16). The Word of God is what brings conviction, not us (Rom. 10:17).
The Priority of Outreach:
•God's precept: go and make disciples (Matt. 28:18-20)
•God's purpose: to seek and save the lost (Lk. 19:10)
•God's patience: not wanting anyone to perish (2 Pet. 3:9)
•God's passion: compassion toward the lost (Matt. 9:36-38; 23:37)
The Process for Outreach:
•answer (2 Tim. 4:2-5; 1 Pet. 3:15)
•be a light (Matt. 5:14-16)
•be the salt (Matt. 5:13)
•declare (1 Pet. 2:9)
•implore (2 Cor. 5:18-20)
•persuade (2 Cor. 5:11)
•preach, proclaim, herald (2 Tim. 4:2)
•teach (Matt. 28:20)
•testify (2 Tim. 1:8)
The Product of Outreach:
•disciples made (Matt. 28:19)
•fellowship made possible with those who believe (1 Jn. 1:3)
•glory to God (2 Cor. 4:15)
God initiated the concept of sowing and reaping which also applies to evangelism (Jn. 4:35-38). Some will reap what others have sown. A person's salvation is usually the result of the testimony of many people and events. Whatever your part ... preparing the soil by building relationships, sowing the seed by being the one to share the Word, nurturing the seed that has been planted, or reaping that which has been sown ... know that you have made an investment into eternity.
P urpose: Our purpose is to provide your heart’s desire to see your children begin a lifelong, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ. We share that desire and make it our mission. We are the caring staff and volunteers of His Kids. We work and pray hard to create a loving, safe environment where children can come to know Christ, love Him, and serve Him.
As early as age 2, children are able to begin developing their moral and spiritual foundation. With this knowledge, we strive to introduce God to your "little ones" in a way they can understand. We teach them that there is one God who loves them very much. Using songs, puppets and interactive lessons we are able to support parents in laying a foundation for their spiritual development
It is our desire for children to arrive at the teen years with a solid foundation of God's word "hid in their heart". We work toward this goal through solid, creatively presented, bible lessons and the loving input of teachers and parents. These early years are critical for reinforcing their fledgling faith. They can learn to interpret and respond to their world according to God's ways, as taught to us in the Bible.
When children leave our ministry, they will know and understand basic Bible truths like God's plan of salvation according to John 3:5,16 and Acts 2:38 & 39.
They will have learned to live by Psalms 119:11 - "Thy Word have I hid in my heart the I may not sin against Thee."
And most of all, we pray they will come to know Jesus as their personal Lord, Savior and friend.
Family Ministries exists to serve the church by serving families through:
Education, which fosters biblical principles of relationship;
Nurture, which heals and helps all people as connected to a family; and
Discipleship, which informs and protects the family as a divinely ordained institution.
Truth is intended to be experienced through covenant relationships with God and within marriage, family, and the Church.

Jesus Bring the Rain
MercyMe
Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll
be days when this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to
praise You - Jesus, bring the rain!
"Why We Dare Tell God - Bring on the Rain!"
Life struggles can never change our position in Christ - on the contrary, if we ARE in Christ, struggles are the very "sands of irritation" necessary to produce the "pearls of God's grace" in our lives.
a. Paul and Silas joyfully sang during their imprisonment. It had such an effect that God used their witness of joy in the Lord in the midst of rain to prepare pagan guards for salvation (Acts 16:25-33).
b. Some fruit of the Spirit in us doesn't grow until there is a wildfire of trouble as a catalyst to bring it forth (2 Cor. 1:3-7), just as certain seeds in a woodland never sprout until first there is a devastating forest fire.
c. Christians are not masochists, but they have good reasons to even rejoice in the "pain and rain" of life (see Romans 5:3-4 below).
It may seem easier to give God glory during times of health, well-being and happiness (sunshine), but there is just as much reason to praise him for the troubles (rain). That's when God covers us with "umbrellas" of strength, comfort, character, and hope (2 Cor. 1:3-7).
a. Romans 5:3-4 We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
b. Proverbs 30:8-9 Give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the Lord?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
c. Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
d. Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
If we are in Christ, anything we suffer in this life is actually trifling compared to the glories God has in store for us (Rom. 8:18).
a. The Gospel news is that He has taken away our suffering, pain and 'hell' of separation from the Father - He already drank this bitter cup for us.
b. The only "cup" we have left to drink is the "cup of salvation" (Psalm 116:13): eternal life without pain or rain, only gain. Pain and heartache will come ("We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God" - Acts 14:22). Mountains and valleys appear in life. And the scenery is always breathtaking because Jesus is our Guide ("Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me") who gives us confidence that in all things - including the rain - He is working for our GOOD (Rom. 8:28).
Praise God for all the weather in life: for rain and for sunshine.
Each kind of weather produces a good harvest.
So, Jesus, bring the rain!
Praise God for all the weather in life: for rain and for sunshine. Each kind of weather produces a good harvest. So, Jesus, bring the rain!
